The Eighth Animal is an artist-run studio in Townsville, Australia, creating Japanese-inspired graphic art as digital downloads and made-to-order posters/prints, stickers and tees. Contact: theeightanimal@gmail.com.
Using our site = accepting these terms.
By visiting our website, using its features, or making a purchase, you agree to these Website Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Returns Policy (which form part of these terms).
How you may use this site and our services.
You may browse and shop for personal, non-commercial use only. Don’t copy, scrape, or interfere with the site, upload harmful code, bypass security, or attempt to harvest data. If you create an account in future, keep your login secure and tell us immediately about any unauthorised use.
Sales, delivery & returns (summary).
Most items are made to order; timeframes shown at checkout are estimates, not guarantees. We currently do not ship to the EU or UK. Digital downloads are delivered by email/download link shortly after purchase and are final sale (we’ll replace faulty files). Tees are made-to-order with no change-of-mind returns or size exchanges. Posters/prints/stickers aren’t returnable for change of mind. If something arrives damaged or misprinted, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund. Payments.
Prices are shown in AUD. Accepted payment methods will appear at checkout when payments are enabled. We don’t store full card numbers; payments are processed securely by our provider(s).
Comments & reviews.
If comments or reviews are available, you agree to be respectful, lawful and original. No spam, hate speech, harassment, impersonation or illegal content. Copyright-infringing content is not allowed. We may moderate, hide or remove submissions at our discretion. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and share your submission in connection with the site and our marketing (we won’t edit your words to be misleading).
Our content, licences & personal-use rule.
All artwork, images, text, logos and site design are protected by copyright and other IP laws. Purchasing a product does not grant any commercial rights in the artwork.

Reporting copyright infringement. If you believe material on our site or in user reviews infringes your copyright, email theeightanimal@gmail.com with: (1) a link to the page/file, (2) a description of the work you own, (3) your contact details, and (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn’t authorised. We’ll review and respond promptly.
Digital downloads:
you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to print for yourself (you may gift a physical print you make). You may not resell or redistribute files, upload to print-on-demand, use in logos/advertising/branding, mint as NFTs, or create derivative works for sale.
Physical products (posters/prints/stickers/tees):
for personal use only. Buying a physical item does not grant a licence to reproduce the design, use it commercially, or create merchandise. (Gifting the item is fine.)
Disclaimers, ACL & liability.
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it’s provided “as is.” Colours may vary between screens and print; small size tolerances are normal. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude other warranties and limit our liability to re-supplying the goods/services or refunding their cost.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts of Queensland.
Changes.
We may update these terms by posting a new version with the effective date above. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
